The role of the Paralegal is to support the team and legal department in the review and negotiation of legal terms in a broad range of corporate contracts and other legal documents in collaboration with paralegals and attorneys – both inside and outside counsel. Since our company is focused on the pharmaceutical industry, expertise or experience in working within the pharmaceutical or pharmacy sector is highly desired. This role can be remote (preferably based in California, Texas, Massachusetts, Indiana or Arkansas preferred) with the availability to attend in-person with purpose company or Legal Department meetings as needed.


·      Tweak, own tracking, and warehouse/archive various standard contracts for internal business clients, as required, including but not limited to NDAs, Consulting Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and Amendments. 

·      Serve as a liaison and project manager/tracker of all contracts between the legal department, other departments at the company, and with inside and outside counsel.

·      Prepare redline review and negotiation of legal terms in a broad range of corporate contracts.

·      Organize and maintain documentation progression of negotiations and versions of the contracts.

·      Communicate professionally and effectively with relevant internal stakeholders and procurement on contract progress and to reinforce process and workflow.

·      Collaborate with and across the entire corporate team, across lines of business, and with procurement colleagues involved in contract negotiations.

·      Ensure that contracts are thoroughly reviewed for legal, compliance, risk management provisions and payment terms alignment prior to submitting for internal approvals.

·      Manage contract requests and processes to ensure efficient and effective business productivity.

·      Compliance program adherence and reinforcement with internal clients.

·      Maintain up to date contracts and tracking of contracts without side counsel. Serve as liaison with outside counsel.

·      Follow consistent processes for documentation of contract progress and filing of supporting versions.

·      Provide excellent internal client services and serve as an advocate for the company externally.

·      Other miscellaneous projects as needed or requested by legal and executive team members.



·      Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate or Legal Secretary preferred

o  Corporate Office experience supporting Legal Department

o  Pharma/Biotech, pharmacy, 503B, managed healthcare experience in industry highly preferred

·      PMP certification and/or pharmacy technician experience preferred



·      Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry

·      Remote work experience preferred

·      Knowledge of contracts law and US law; pharmacy law preferred

·      Knowledge, understanding of commercial contracts (CDAs,Consulting Agreements, Co-Marketing Agreements, Master Services Agreements,Statements/Scopes of Work, and Amendments)

·      Proficient in MS Word, Adobe, MS Teams, and Sharepoint

·      Familiar with Excel, DocuSign, PowerPoint, and SAP



·      Ability to work effectively and independently under tight deadlines, high volume; prioritizing appropriately with shifting priorities; startup experience preferred.

·      Proven proofreading, and redlining experience; knowledge of drafting

·      Strong attention to detail

·      Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

·      Ability to communicate effectively and partner with a variety of business functions at all levels
