DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Performs general ledger and cost accounting and other assigned duties for the organization.

·       Performs monthly and annual close processes including preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries or analysis related to inventory, manufacturing and production, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial information.

·       Ensures accurate reporting of inventory balances and manufacturing accounting transactions.

·       Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.

·       Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.

·       Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.

·       Suggests ways to improve efficiencies in accounting processing, to apply automation when and where applicable, and to implement cost-cutting opportunities through passive analysis of ongoing accounting duties.

·       Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.

·       Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.

·       Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAND/OR TRAINING:

·      Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, or related field, required.

·      CPA or pursuing CPA is desired.

WORKEXPERIENCE:

·      Five to eight years of related experience required.

·      Experience working with SAP or similar accounting software.

·      Previous experience with accounting software.

·       Extensive knowledge of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

·       Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

·       Previous experience in manufacturing desired.
